  • I need help converting these metric measurements for this cupcake recipe?

    Category: QA

    The measurements are:
    125 grams of butter
    125 grams of flour
    125 grams of sugar

can anyone give me the approximate measurements in say, cups? or, how would i measure these ingredients in ounces, since that’s all the online converters will change things to.

    thanks in advance!

      125 grams of flour = 1 cup = 4 oz = 1/4 pound

      Sugar weighs 200 grams/cup so 125 g the recipe calls for 0.625 Cups of sugar (1/2 C + 2 Tablespoons)

      All purpose flour weighs 145 grams/cup so 125g = 0.86 Cups (3/4 C + 2 Tablespoons is close enough)

      Butter (125 grams = 4.4 ounces weight)
Which is a little over 1/4 pound of butter… well in 1 pound of butter, you have 4 sticks…. so that’s 1 stick of butter + 1 Tablespoon.

      The final answer
      125 g butter = 1 stick + 1 Tablespoon
      125 g flour = 3/4 C + 2 Tablespoons
      125 g sugar = 1/2 C + 2 Tablespoons.
