There Is Always The Right Size For Wedding Bombonieres
The bride and groom normally give wedding bombonieres at their wedding. For you to perfectly present your wedding favor you need the best favor boxes for it. Wedding favor boxes come in many colors:-single colored and multi-colored., shapes and styles. The box should compliment the wedding favor fillings perfectly and matches your design. These boxes have a wide range including pouches, square boxes, wedding cupcake and more. It all solely depends on what you want to give your guests. The most popular are the Chinese style wedding favor boxes as they are personalized with the names of the bride and the groom and the date of the wedding and other popular designs are polka dots, stripes and floral. They are commonly preferred. The type of the favor determines the size of the box.
To spice up bomboniere boxes, one can add an immaculately and beautifully tied ribbon and an awesome knot to add flavor to it. Whatever the sizes of your wedding favor, there is always the right size for wedding babooneries. You can also use a color that you think is favorite to the person you are giving the gift but still maintain the message you want to put across.
]]>
Some bomboniere boxes are just plain and so need to be spiced up a little. For a plain box, get a ribbon, lace or stickers that compliment the box. These are mostly used when one wants to cut down on costs and so buy decorative things to make the plain box more attractive. You could also want to represent a specific culture in your presentation. An Italian culture, Chinese culture, English culture, Asian culture or whatever culture you may need to represent. In such a case, the gift inside too should depict the culture.
Seasons too can help you in wrapping your gift. For a season like summer, the wedding favor boxes should depict that sunny feeling. Colors like yellow and orange are most preferred for this season. Green is the color for spring and autumn. Blue could perfectly work too to make your wedding favors presentation classy and fashion sensitive. Wedding favours have to be complimented by the bomboniere boxes. The wedding favor boxes should be in line with either the color or theme of the wedding. Wedding gift wrappers were commonly used but they are a bit out dated today. But for creativity, the gift wrappers can be glued to the plain boxes and add a bit of decorative attractive feel on them.
You could also in cooperate someone’s personality into the wedding favours as long as you stick into your theme and wedding color. For someone with a childish personality, many colors and a bit of cartoon. Bright colors for attention lovers and cool colors for the quiet people. As you sit and think of that best way to present your wedding favors, put into consideration the need not to go out of the day’s color and themes. Stay right in your well planned budget.

Three Wedding Centerpiece Ideas that Work

Three Wedding Centerpiece Ideas that Work
At this DIY day and age, it seems that there is nothing impossible to achieve when armed with a perfect idea, great resourcefulness, and skilled hands. Wedding centerpieces are no exception to this. Gone are the days when flowers of all shapes and species dominated the reception tables, because they’ve already made way to a new breed of wedding centerpiece ideas, all as beautiful as a perfect wedding should be.
Need ideas for your wedding centerpiece? Read along and find something you or a friend could actually use on your own wedding!
Leave the Lights On
If you’re planning to have an outdoor wedding reception in the evening, one of your biggest challenges would probably be lighting your venue nicely. Make it easier for your guests to see what they’re having for dinner by setting up a wedding centerpiece which is both aesthetic and functional at the same time.
Take three crystal vases of varying sizes and put in some colored stones or small pebbles before filling it up with water. Submerge a stem or two of your favorite flowers in each of the vases and then finish by lighting some floating candles and placing them in the water. If stones and flowers aren’t your thing, you could always make a simpler version with just clear water and floating candles. (Or, you could jazz it up a little by adding a bit of food coloring to the water to make it match your wedding palette.) I’m pretty sure the lighting will set a warm romantic mood to the evening.
]]>
As an alternative to candles, LED lights may also be used to create a stunning lighted centerpiece. Placed around or underneath your centerpiece as a base, or submerged in crystal vases filled with water, these LED lights will definitely light up the occasion.
Sweeten the Moment
After planning and attending enough parties, I’ve realized that anything edible (and delectable, of course) is sure to please guests, so why not give them a wedding centerpiece that’s sure to tickle their tastebuds?
It’s impossible to actually get stumped when creating edible centerpieces, especially since there are a lot of different food items you could use from pastries and chocolates to fruits and vegetables. Playing with pastries? Small cakes can be decorated with different-colored fruit slices or candy, while colorful macaroons can be stacked together to create a macaroon pyramid! Cupcake towers and bouquets are also quite popular and easy to assemble, and a chocolate fountain is enough to make your guests’ mouths water.
If you’re more of a fruit person, don’t just give your guests a fruit basket on their table! Cut up some oranges, strawberries and green apples and arrange them in neat bowls topped with small flowers. (Don’t forget to leave toothpicks or small forks they could use to pick out the fruit pieces.) Fruit skewers are a nice idea as well, and you could arrange them in such a way that the centerpiece resembles a beautiful bouquet.
Add a Nostalgic Touch
Think wedding guestbooks are so yesterday? Try a wishing tree for a change.
Wishing trees are small, tree-like arrangements where guests hang little notes of well-wishes to the newlyweds. It’s creative and eye-catching, and also readily available through some wedding vendors out there. Place smaller wishing trees on your guests’ tables as a centerpiece, along with a box of notecards they could write on and hang on the branches. While you newlyweds are still busy taking photos, your guests can begin writing down their well-wishes for you.
To add to the nostalgic feel of your centerpiece, you may also decorate the wishing trees with small photos of you and your partner during your childhood and growing-up years. Your guests will certainly enjoy looking through them like they would an old family album.

Modern Wedding Ceremonies
Category: Articles
Modern Wedding Ceremonies
Marriage has changed a great deal in recent years. With many of today’s weddings involving older couples, same-sex couples, people who have never set foot in a church, and people who have already been married at least once before, modern wedding ceremonies are beginning to reflect a break with tradition in the best possible way—meaning that more and more, brides and grooms are refusing to be bound by a dogmatic need to adhere to the concept of a normal or “proper” wedding ceremony.
Modern wedding ceremonies may buck tradition in a number of ways. Many challenge the notion of a giant gown made from endless yards of bright-white satin and organza, instead choosing to wear simpler, shorter, or funkier wedding dresses. Colored accents, such as a sash or an embroidered embellishment, are becoming more common. Even bolder are the brides that leave out the white altogether, instead selecting dresses alternative colors like pink, red, or even black.
This movement away from all-white weddings can also be seen in couples’ cake selections. Many cakes for modern wedding ceremonies are bright and unique, utilizing things like neon fondant and crooked tiers for a fun, youthful effect. Some might even choose to forgo a traditional cake, instead presenting decorated cupcakes or cookies as a centerpiece for the event.
Clothes, food, and decorations for modern wedding ceremonies might also reflect a specific theme that is special to the bride and the groom. A couple who loves comic books, for instance, might have a sculpted superhero wedding cake. The bride might carry a bouquet of paper roses made from the pages of a vintage comic, while the groom might wear a tie and cufflinks emblazoned with bat signals.
In this culture of romantic uncertainty and frequent divorce, weddings are a real miracle. It is only fair that the participants celebrate this amazing occasion the way that they want to, instead of the way they feel they are supposed to. Traditionalists should not fear—a wedding will always be a serious, momentous event, even if the cake is shaped like a yellow Corvette and everyone in the wedding party is wearing novelty sunglasses.

How to Style Your Own James Bond Wedding
Category: Articles
How to Style Your Own James Bond Wedding
James Bond actor Daniel Craig and The Mummy actress Rachel Weisz shocked us all when the couple wed each other in a top-secret ceremony on June 23, with only their children—Craig’s teenage daughter Ella, and Weisz’ five-year old son Henry—and two family friends as witnesses. It’s three weeks later, and we still haven’t seen any photos of the ceremony, which makes party-planners like me die a little out of curiosity.
What did the bride and groom wear? What did their wedding cake look like? Did they decorate a little for the ceremony? Granted that the couple didn’t want attention from papparazi, I realize it could’ve been a very simple event, but I still couldn’t help but paint a grandiose picture in my head. We’re talking about James Bond’s wedding here, after all.
I’m pretty sure that a number of event planners out there have already thought of and even succesfully executed spy-themed weddings/parties in the past, but it would come as no surprise to me if several brides-to-be suddenly come and demand for a James Bond wedding. And who wouldn’t want one, really? It’s stylish, it’s classy—and most of all, sexy.
Interested on having a James Bond wedding, but not quite sure where to start? Let’s give you a couple of suggestions:
Save-the-Date Cards & Invitations : It would help if you and your partner have taken action or spy-themed photos during your engagement photo session so that you could use these to design your save-the-date cards and invitations. Get creative and incorporate some catchy James Bond movie titles into them, or if you wish to be more flashy, try having your photos edited into a Bond movie style video clip which you can send to your family and friends through a CD. (You can even upload this to a video-hosting site like Vimeo or Youtube for your internet-addicted friends to access easily!)
]]>
It’s also going to be useful if you have a couple emblem fashioned after James Bond’s. You can use it to stamp your invitations as well as your favors later on.
Party Décor & Favors : In keeping with the James Bond theme, black and white should be the dominant colors for your big day, since our handsome spy hero had a fondness for suits. You may add a bit of red or gold for accents to save the party from looking a bit dull, color-wise. It would be nice if you had a pretty chandelier at your venue, but we all know not everyone could afford those kinds of places. Instead, keep in mind to use warm lighting for a sexy, elegant feel to your party. (This means dinner by candlelight would be one of your options!)
For the centerpiece, you could get shiny black vases to hold a beautiful arrangement of red and white roses. If you want to put in a more personal touch to it, place some wonderful photos of you and your partner in four black picture frames and use them to form a square container. Put your flower arrangement in it—you may even add a long, thin candle in the middle— and you’re done!
There are a lot of creative cake toppers available nowadays, and you can easily get a spy-themed cake topper to accentuate your wedding cake. If you can’t find one, you could always ask your cake shop to decorate the cake with your couple emblem to make it stand out. When the party is done, give your guests emblem-adorned mini-cakes or cupcakes as favors.
Other ideas for practical wedding favors are crystal shot glasses, elegant wine bottle stoppers, or small swiss/utility knives (for your guests’ everyday James Bond emergencies).
Attire : Non-conventional brides would most probably love wearing a sexy black gown to their wedding, and I believe there are already bridal shops that sell them. For the traditional brides however, you could always just use the black as an accent. Highlight your dress with a black satin ribbon, or have some black detail embroidered onto your gown. Whatever artistic direction you choose with your gown, I’m pretty sure it will still look stunning when you wear it beside your coat-and-tie wearing groom.
As for the bridesmaids’ dresses and groomsmen’s suits, I would suggest the color silver. It blends well with black and white, and is also a very chic color.
As you go along and plan your big day, keep in mind that there are a lot more ideas out there that you could use to make your wedding a perfect event, so by all means, let your imagination go wild. I can’t wait to see James Bond-themed weddings very, very soon!

Reasons Why You Should Give Wedding Favors
Category: Articles
Reasons Why You Should Give Wedding Favors
For centuries couples have given their guests wedding favors as a token of thanks for joining them on their wedding day. Whereas they were once lavish, expensive gifts, these days they tend to be more modest and inexpensive, but many couples will still question whether or not giving them is a cost they can afford to incur.
You maybe tempted to forgo your wedding favors and spend the money elsewhere, and whilst there is nothing wrong in doing this, it is worthwhile considering the reasons why you should give them and your options for affordable favors before you abandon them altogether.
Reason 1:
Your guests will expect them. Wedding favors go back to the 13th century and have become an integral part of weddings ever since. Whether you go for traditional almonds or pretty photograph frames, your guests will no doubt expect to see them and some may grumble if they are not present!
]]>
Reason 2:
Wedding favors do not need to be expensive. There is a huge industry surrounding these little gifts these days which means you now have more choice than ever before. On average you can expect to pay around per favor including packaging, but with a little savvy shopping or a bit of DIY you can bring this cost down to around each.
Reason 3:
How else will you say thank you? The whole point of giving favors is to say ‘thank you for coming’. Favors are not to be confused with thank you notes, which should be given to those who gave you a gift, they are merely to thank guests for sharing the day with you. If you do not give favors then you will need to give each and every guest a personal thank you, which could take all day!
Reason 4:
They form a decorative finishing touch. Favors are often placed on tables at each place setting and provide a pretty finishing touch the wedding theme or overall look. Choosing favors which coordinate with your wedding colors, theme or style makes them more unique and personable which means your guests will appreciate them all the more.
With wedding budgets already stretched, it is tempting to avoid giving wedding favors in a bid to afford everything else. But these little gifts do not need to be anything extravagant and indeed, a hand written thank you note is just as nice as giving a box of handmade chocolates or custom cupcakes. You may be surprised at just what your budget can stretch to when it comes to wedding favors and your guests will appreciate the sentiment.

Planning your Wedding on a Budget
Category: Articles
Planning your Wedding on a Budget
Plan your Wedding Budget. Work out now how much you can reasonably spend and what your priorities are. Then calculate an amount each week that you can set aside and stick to it. Invest in a wedding money pot too for spare change that can go towards any luxury extras.
Weddings on a Friday are usually much cheaper than weekend weddings and as long as you tell your guests far enough in advance, most would be happy to book a day off work to attend.
Wedding Haggle! Don’t be afraid, especially if getting married out of the wedding ‘season’, to ask for discounts on things like catering, hotel rooms, function rooms etc. Many will be glad of the custom at a quiet time and you can save hundreds, if not thousands, on your final bill.
Money as Wedding Gifts. It is now considered perfectly acceptable to ask for donations as wedding gifts. Lots of couples have lived together for some time before getting married so wedding wish lists are going out of fashion in favour of donations towards either the cost of the wedding or the honeymoon.
]]>
Amateur Wedding Photos. A professional photographer can cost upwards of £500 whereas disposable cameras cost just a few pounds each. Give one each to member of the wedding entourage and other guests, perhaps as unusual wedding favours, to get hundreds of natural shots of all aspects of your wedding – you’d be surprised at just how good some of your guests are at photography!
Supermarket Bridal Outfits. Many supermarkets are now competing with high street wedding stores by offering their own flower girl outfits, bridesmaid dresses, suits and even bridal wear! Many are copies of designer styles at half the price tags.
Cheap Wedding Favours. Buy some gift boxes with tags and ribbon and insert some sweets and mints into each for a cheap wedding favouridea!
Budget Wedding Cake. Get a cake stand and decorate it with lots of little cupcakes! They make an impressive display, especially with a few cake accessoriesand are much easier to serve!
Have a Wedding Buffet. One of the main costs of a wedding is the wedding breakfast where you can expect to pay around £150 per head for food and service. A lot of these costs can be cut down by having a wedding buffet and then guests can choose which food they want and the atmosphere is much more casual!
Wedding Table Decorations. You don’t have to go all out on fancy table decorations. Just get some helium balloons, weigh them down with a glass balloon weight and you’ve got a pretty table decoration that cost just a few pounds!
There are lots of ways in which you can cut corners and save stacks, all it takes is a little creative thinking and some savvy shopping and you can still have the wedding of your dreams – which will be all the more sweeter for the savings you’ve made!

Mix and Match to Make Your Wedding Stylish and Affordable
Category: Articles
Mix and Match to Make Your Wedding Stylish and Affordable
We all know that celebrities are often seen shopping in vintage shops, at market stalls and department stores. Then they show up and look stunning, mixing and matching cheap pieces with super exclusive (and expensive) ones. Think about Carrie in Sex and the City and how stylish she can be! She made of the mix-and-matching game a status symbol.
Although they usually wear the coolest and the best adding only few accents from down-to-earth shops, we can do the same both for us and our events, reversing it, and getting a perfect look.
Your entire wedding can be a mix-n-match wonder.
The style is priceless, because no money could buy it. This is an old saying and it’s real. I’ve seen brides with the most expensive dresses looking nice and others with much more affordable ones looking stunning. So how do you make it? Where’s the trick?
Let’s start from the beginning: mixing n’ matching is working better for certain kind of wedding themes: vintage, countryside and contemporary. So try to stick to one of these, and avoid putting yourself into a no winning game, for example trying to get an opulent ballroom wedding if you are on a budget. That kind of event is a show off due to its own nature and it will require items that are not only expensive, but sometimes are not even available in stores because exclusively rented by vendors.
Invitations: this is actually where saving money is more complicated, because high quality paper costs. But if you go for a plain invitation, then you can customize it. Adding herbs, a shell or another creative accent could be the way to have your unique stationery. Another option could be thinking outside the box. Once, for a wedding, we found several tiny books, vintage, at a thrift store; we purchased them for a cheap bulk price and sent them as invitations with little customization. I’m sure most of the guests are still having them as keepsakes!
]]>
You dress: it’s pretty easy; there are so many options out there! The first secret of being stunning even with a regular dress is to choose a style that works with your body shape. Look at you in the mirror and, I know it’s hard, but try to be a good judge of yourself. Which are you defects and which are the best parts of you? Once you’ll have this clear in mind, it will be easier to find the perfect dress. And it’s not the most expensive one- not a single guest will probably touch the fabric or look carefully at the embellishments, so the good dress will be the one that will fit you like a glove. Then be creative. White shoes are expected, and if you don’t have budget for Manolos, dare, go to vintage stores, try something colored, blue, red, yellow- the choice is yours. The originality of the shoes will blow you away when you’ll see yourself in the pictures. For your hair- the new trend is to have less complicated hairdos, and this is saving money on the hairdresser. Adorn yourself with a handmade, original piece from Etsy store. Thousand of affordable choices are there ready be picked. And you will have a unique piece, precious because it was made with patience and love.
Flowers are another way to be creative saving money. Again, I’ve seen expensive flowers arranged in so-and-so compositions and fillers such as baby breath becoming eye-catching focal points. Work carefully with your florist. Try to make something that looks good, full include cheap but creative touches such as fruit, herbs, and shells. Don’t spend too much choosing what you think would be nice because it’s an expensive flower, if you can’t afford it. You’ll have smaller numbers, it will be more complicated and, trust me, your guests will never imagine the price. They are usually amazed by the results only. Vases- try something different: teapots, mason jars, tea cups, and tiny clear glasses. They must be mixed and matched to get the vintage look, you can use them to create different arrangements with a cohesive look, and with simple garden flowers you could obtain a professional result.
Linens: stick on classic white, cream or ivory. Any catering can provide those linens to you, sometimes even included in the cost. They are classic and elegant, only choose cotton or natural fabrics for a mat effect, otherwise it would really look cheap.
Catering: don’t compromise on the quality of food, but choose a different service. Seated dinners are more expensive, try buffet with live stations for instance. Offer several varieties and different kind of wines. In case, serve less free alcohol after dinner. The cake is important, but if you don’t want to spend too much, instead of the classic tiered cake with a miserable appearance due to budget constraints, thinks outside the box. A sheet cake covered with fresh fruit could be nice and it’s less expensive because less work is involved. Cupcakes are another good option.
Photography is like your famous-brand bag. No compromises. The W day will fly away and you will have only your memories and tangible pictures. If you can’t afford videography, it’s not that important. But images will tell your story again and again, to you children, and to your grandchildren too. Your photographer must be a good professional and you should expect to pay him an adequate fee.
Play your game, become a wise and stylish bride. Save where you can, dare if you want on certain items; celebrate your love and make your wedding a statement of your style.

UK Wedding Cakes – The Challenges Faced When Ordering and the Styles Available
UK Wedding Cakes – The Challenges Faced When Ordering and the Styles Available
Based on UK statistics, people spend more than £6 Billion in the UK on wedding ceremonies each year. Most people do not know about this but it is a very significant figure as there are more than 2.6 million wedding ceremonies each year, much higher than any other country in Europe and second to the United States.
In the UK, You can get a cake design in many shapes and sizes, being able to satisfy different needs, budgets and size of any wedding. Whether or not you decide to go for a luxury wedding cake or a traditional wedding cake, the formal cake cutting is one of the first things that the couple should learn as they will execute it together. A cake really is a great challenge for each groom and bride as they have to make decision on what is needed and how to make the cake make their wedding ceremony very unique. But the good thing is that there are many cake bakers in the UK as most of them are extremely experienced and can provide a full-range of services with the use of their design expertise to make any wedding perfect. Their experience signifies that you can easily face other important things in your wedding planning.
To also reduce stress, it is good to employ a wedding planner who will cover every aspect of the wedding from table tents to flowery arrangements to and employing a wedding photographer. The wedding cake is embedded in human tradition. For instance, way back in the year 1660, sugar flowers and novelties were the ones used in cake decoration in England. With time, the concept spread fast and by the year 1900′s, almost all wedding cakes were prepared with a stunning variety of unique sugar decorations. The extravagance and romance of these additions has continued to be used till today. Wedding cakes now come in different designs and in tiered arrangements which make them fit for even very large wedding parties where you have people of different classes in the society.
You can even get cupcakes, which are also very easy to serve. To those who are not able to get the traditional designs, these are the best option if you are organizing less formal wedding ceremonies and would not be able to get the most expensive idea. The majority of the providers of wedding cakes provide you with full services like consultation and giving you free sampling of the popular quality recipes to make things easier for you to decide. Cakes make every wedding spectacular and your wedding ceremony would never be complete without having one around and they are in different shapes, sizes and designs because people in the UK in particular have different cultures and backgrounds.
The different traditions and ways of doing things influence different ideas for wedding ceremonies and ultimately buying of wedding cakes. Though there are many types of UK wedding cakes, a designer wedding cake mixes up tradition with a modern type which perfectly reflects all elements desired by you; just the same way fashion designers consider trends and current styles.

Groom Message Cake
This is a variation on the message cake. Buy a plain cake and write the groom’s special icing message for his bride on the wedding shower cake. Pick a message that is significant for the couple or ask the groom to draft a special note.
Picture Cake
Go to your local bakery and have the bride or the couple’s picture transferred in icing on the shower cake. Pick a close up picture with less small details for great visual results. Top with well wishes.
Piñata Cake
Save the real cake for the actual wedding and get a piñata cake instead for a fun game. Hang this inedible wedding shower cake and ask the future bride to do the honors of showering the guests with some sweet treats.
Fake Cake Centerpiece
Another inedible wedding shower cake idea would be a rolled cloth or rolled tower centerpiece decorated with ribbons and a topper. Have special messages, gifts or cash rolled along with each cloth piece and ask the bride to carefully pick and unroll her wedding shower cake apart during the gift opening session. You can also stack plastic baskets filled with gifts and home items for the bride and her new home. Decorate the baskets with traditional wedding cloths like tulle and satin ribbons.
Cupcakes
Instead of real cake layers, serve a wedding shower cake tier of cupcakes, muffins and cheesecake. Sprinkle each cake piece with colored candies or chocolate shavings and decorate with a topper.
Humor Cakes
If the future bride is going to have an ultra formal wedding with no room for some humorous fun, then the bridal shower is the best event to bring out unusual cake toppers. Share the gift of humor by decorating the different tiers of a wedding shower cake with humorous cake toppers like a shackled groom or a bride dragging her prized conquest. Have a variety of toppers and let one or two fun loving guests give a descriptive narration of each topper.
